As a VB virgin I wasn’t sure what was to come from the week. Although I knew deep, soulful and quality tunes would be heard. On Tuesday night as it all drew to a close Mr Andy Ward asked me if I’d enjoyed it and if it was what I expected…..”awesome! Better than I could of imagined!” was my reply. This for me eclipses any vibe and atmosphere any other event of this type can generate. Truly great music, superb set up/venues, THE best and welcoming company ‘family’ and of course a great host and organiser in Andy and all his family and VB helpers. I had so many laughs and good memories, I’m privileged to say I’ve attended my first of hopefully many Vocal Booth Weekenders to come and be a part of the family!! Can’t wait for 2012!!
Sep. 23, 2011
VB 2010 was an amazing experience, didn’t think I could attend anything better, then VB 2011 came along. I can honestly say, hand on heart, it was the best 6 days of my 39 years of life. Never have I stood beneath the hot sunshine, side by side with 500 smiling like minded people, with the Sweetest of sounds from so many talented dj’s. There isn’t one place I’ve been in my fulfilled life that warms me through & through like the family of VB does. I salute you Mr Ward & every one of your crew & obviously every one person that attends and makes it what it is…….Heaven! I thank you xxx

The Vocal Booth Weekender is a yearly event organized by DJ/Producer Andy Ward. This year it took place from September 15 to 20 at Campoamor, Alicante. This is only the third event and what started out as a small ‘family’ weekend gathering of about 50, this year became a whole week’s worth of parties with the VB Family growing to a whopping 500 members. A chance for like minded people (ie: lovers of soulful house music) all of a similar age (ie: grown up!) to get together all for the same reasons: to enjoy, appreciate and dance their socks off to quality music played by some of the world’s best house DJ’s and Producers.
All events were well organized starting with pool parties every afternoon providing soulful sounds in the sun.. perfect. Personal highlights, I have to mention Spanish DJ Fidias Abellana, Andy Compton, ATFC (accompanied on stage by his extremely cute daughter), Slikk Tim: an incredibly cool French guitarist and pretty mean groover on the dancefloor too, live vocals from the lovely Ladybird and Colonel Red, and of course my own ‘family’ member, Tito Pulpo.
After a sensible evening siesta being allowed for, the action moves to the clubs. Here the tempo lifts and the mood to match. Some VERY funky movers and shakers on the floor.. you guys know how to dance!! Once again the wheels of steel were graced by some of house music’s best known players and producers: Craig Bartlett, Matthew Bandy, Groove Assassin, Phil Asher, CJ Mackintosh, Neil Pierce and of course VB’s very own Andy Ward, to name just a few.
In his own words new members of ‘The Family’ are encouraged to break from their clique and meet new people. ‘We pride ourselves on being a friendly bunch that leaves pretentiousness at the door and focus purely on the good vibes’. I’d have to agree. New friends were made, going out alone to the pool or club was never a problem, there’s always a friendly face you’ll have met or bumped into before.
Anyone that couldn’t make it could enjoy the live broadcasts onhttp://www.pressureradio.com, who also host Andy Ward’s weekly Vocal Booth radio show. Another highlight was the Pioneer demonstrations on the CDJ2000’s and mixer, jaw droppingly impressive!
For those of us living in other parts of Spain it was a bit of a drive, but considering the hundreds that flew over from the UK, it was worth every minute. Accommodation is well organized and can be booked via http://www.vocalboothweekender.com where you can also register for tickets. Read comments from others who’ve become part of The Family about just how special this gathering is on the same site.
Mr Andy Ward has got it right, in fact he’s got it spot on. The perfect recipe for a fab week or weekend with all the ingredients coming together like a dream. My final bit of advice: join The VB Family and make sure you’re there next year!!

A week of fantastic music, great people, laughter, sunshine and good vibes. After last year we were on a real downer when it was over not so this year as we know we can do it all again in 2012. If Carlsberg made Weekenders it still wouldn’t come anywhere near what Andy Ward does. Massive Thanks and Love to The Man & His Family xxx VOCAL BOOTH 2011 MAKE SOME NOISE!!!!!!!

Where do u start when it cones to talk about thus years VB..as it was my first one I was as excited as a child on Christmas eve and that excitement was well justified..from the superb skills if the soulful/deep house dj’s that all played some of there most heart warming and favourite tracks to the superb live sessions from Ladybird and colonel red..truly the icing on the cake fir the afternoon session..Mr Wards hard work and vision was amazing and it all came to fruition perfectly also a massive amount of respect to the tech guys who kept the choonage flowing..Snoopy(sound),Gillman(Vision) and DjP (Radio) all of you along with Andy take a massive bow and like the rest of the dj’s that turned up I too will take a bow to all the great likeminded people that that turned out for the party of the year..next year..bring it on

VB2011 ~ There is so much I could say but I will try to keep it short.
Like all blissful love affairs, I never wanted it to end and it gets harder to say goodbye to you lot every year: maybe as I get older I become more soppy but damn, the tears flowed freely this year and certainly caught me by surprise.
From arriving on the 14th, it was huge smiles, gallons of lager, hugs and kisses, belly laughter, massive vodkas and immediately apparent that we were going to have a great time. The Montepiedra staff were ON IT too from the beginning – it really was cool to see them getting into the spirit of things and doing their utmost to progress our liver damage!!! As soon as people arrived they were in relaxed mode (massive shout out to my Pressure radio partner-in-crime Gillman for bringing the toaster!). BIG up your chests to all the VB Virgins who had their cherries well and truly popped (told ya, didn’t I?) and see you next year.
Like most people I hammered it in the first few nites and then paid a heavy penalty in hangovers but nonetheless hung on until the end. I am missing a lot of details as the VB amnesia has set in. The Sunday pool party was always a strong line-up and my ultimate highlight – Pugwash and the DJ straight after him played some amazing music that HAD me crying (damned if I can recall his name but I loved his style) and he was funny as hell….. “Spin the Sugarhill Gang when…” you want to perform a certain bodily function – LMAO.
As for the Clash of the Titans comp….. it was hard fighting back the tears as young Jedi Ward blew us all away. The Live PAs were amazing as were the sets that continued the nice relaxed vibe. AGAIN the last sets of the last nite caught me by surprise and suddenly I thought “OH NOOOO, it’s all over!”
All that is left is to THANK each and every one of YOU reading this and of course to Mr & Mrs Ward, and Drew, Mikey n Bouncer especially for lending us their parents again, and the entire VB team for pulling off another blinding event. Hey ho, so it’s back to counting paydays until the next VB (reunion on 12.11.11).
Peace, love and hair grease – 12 PAYDAYS LEFT X / X

…even though every year I leave at the end with a heavy heart, I’m so glad to have been part of things right from the first one in 2009.
Honestly, what’s not to like? Fantastically friendly people with the right attitude and outlook on life and quality soulful music, great location, superb weather, the most awesome DJ assembly you could wish to find (107 this year!!)…put all that together, and you get the Vocal Booth Weekender – quite simply, the best event of this nature there is!! Once again, I’ve made some wonderful friends, been witness to some amazingly “human” moments that set VB apart from anything of its kind, danced until I thought my legs would give out (and then caught another “choon” to lift me onto my feet again!), lost my voice from shouting/laughing/crying with joy, and been blessed again to represent as a selected DJ to entertain the throng – and once again, I’ve been so lucky to experience some of the most uplifting times of my entire life.
Thank you, the Vocal Booth and PressureRadio Families for the love and laughter, thank you to my fellow DJs for the sets, inspiration and oneness, thank you to the newbies that come along and jump right into the swing of things, and most of all, thank you to Andy Ward – without whom, those moments, memories and people wouldn’t be in my life – and no, that’s no exaggeration!!
Here’s to 2012!!
Sep. 24, 2011
an emotional and landmark event it is in a class of it,s own,
if you ever get a chance to do one thing great in your life get booked up for the vocal booth weekender .it is a joy bringer and an occasion never to be forgotten. and as much love as you’ll ever get in one take, god bless the family .and it is a family, of the best type.
a chance to share a great vibe with high quality sound.
granddad snoopz,xxx
Sep. 24, 2011
Oh wow after last year I was worried that could they create the same vibe and atmosphere they had last year and in the end no they didnt…………… IT WAS EVEN BETTER!!! wow the music the dancing and the people, it is amazing “family” event and still smiling now cant wait till next year
Sep. 24, 2011
Still highly emotional after what can only be described as probably the best week in my entire life and let me tell you i’ve had a few great ones . Do not get this confused with any other event of it’s type in the calendar ! , It stands alone without any comparison also it does not conflict nor competes with the already amazing weekenders that we all love & know so well.
What the vocal booth gives is a true sense of belonging where artists & dj’s mix with the vb family and everybody feels the needs to share whether it be music stories a drink a joke sometimes even a tear ! . If someone doesn’t know someone by the end of this event they will
A once in a lifetime chance to see unity in the human race at its best and yet again i have came away with my faith restored .
Finally if the music wasn’t there all the things i’ve mentioned above could not happen and would not happen….. LET THE MUSIC PLAY …. nuff said ! pz . Ricky Reid your renegade . x
Sep. 24, 2011
Well, what can we say…. This is what it’s all about, The Vocal Booth as an event is first class, likewise for all the family that attend the event. I feel sorry for all those people that have never experienced VB. It is trully the highlight event of the year. great music, great people and a vibe that is beyond belief! Reminds me of how things used to be 20 years ago.
For us (Groove Motion) getting the chance to play was something very special and something we will never forget. Out to Andy / Snoopy and everyone else who works hard behind the scenes to make Vocal Booth what it is. All we can say is bring on September 2012

I missed the first two due to a serious injury and I’m so glad I made it this time. I’ve been partying since the mid 70′s and have sampled some of the best clubs & events during that time but this Vocal Booth Thang is truly something else. The love was overwhelming, the sense of FAMILY, the feeling of belonging and the “as oneness” (?) will be with me forever. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART XXX
Sep. 24, 2011
Having had some sort of notion what to expect from the vocal booth weekender from friends who’d attended the previous year and also the build up with regards to the banter and excitement on the website.
There is nothing like actually taking part or being involved. So with open mind and ears and hearts, off we set.
There is something so magical about the vocal booth from the music to the people to the place.
From the moment we all landed and saw Andy at the airport, doing his bit making people feel welcome, giving advice to travellers and taxi drivers making sure people were comfortable with their travel arrangements, to the hotel staff who were so kind and thoughtful, the bar staff, waiters and maids who just went about their business amongst all the chaos.
The hotel is just perfect, low level accommodation. No matter where you were you felt part of event. With world class DJ’s playing a varied selection of house music throughout the day, starting with the more subtle side of house building as individuals rise from the beds and awaken to bright blue skies, blazing sunshine and soulful sounds to ease them to breakfast on the sun terrace next to the pool. Sounds just to perfect, but that’s actually how is it.
As the days progresses and the crowds build, the tempo of the beats rise the sangria flows and the days turn into night without even blinking, before you know where the day has gone Andy is on the microphone telling you the club will be open shortly. All you’ve done all day is dance in bear foot by the poolside, chat to anybody and everybody, laughed and cried with laughter. Spoken with people like you’ve known them all your life, so many common interests memories shared and cherished.
The day rolls into night and the fun continues, just across the car park to the club; you can hear the base from your room…..the vibe continues into the club people dancing, laughing and having fun. Announcement after announcement….the vocal booth welcomes another fantastic DJ and the vocal booth would like to thank…….every time a huge cheer of respect and appreciation for the music played and to be.
People have said to me over the weekend it’s like it used to be years ago…back in the day, I’ve never one for looking back and thinking how things used to be always forward at things could be. The vocal booth as how it should be.
It was a fantastic time and to those people who help make it and made it so special thank you from the bottom of my heart.
To the bear crew you know who you are. Love as always.
I’m sure of one thing those six days I spent at Vocal Booth will long live in my memory.

I really can’t wait to see all the Vocal Booth Family In Full Effects Next Year…
Everyone who was there was happy, smiley, enthusiastic and more importantly fun to be around. I’d say it was the most togetherness I have seen on a weekender… Reminds me of back in the day. More importantly regardless of who we are and what we do, we all are singing off the same hymn sheet with righteousness and respect. Without music I don’t know what I’d do, especially all genre’s of House, soulful, deep and underground . With this I’d like to say happy times and good vibes, see u @ reunion in brum and VB in Spain. I would recommend anyone that has a passion for house and likes to party, have fun and feel the vibe will really appreciate this.

First of all i want to big up Mr & Mrs Ward & all the other people that worked hard to get this weekender together, absolute well done!
This was my first time and i heard a lot of hype about the vibes, the people and the music, so had very high hopes of it, but also cautiousness about the people will be, i didnt know anyone, except my girlfriend i was going with and it seemed it was an event where everyone knew everyone.
my expectation were well exceeded, the vibes was incredible, the people so friendly and everyone on the same journey to listen to good music, socialise and have great djs doing their thing, but also joining in & partying.
i met soo much people, straight away from the first time we walked in on thursday night, u could feel the good vibes straight away. people responsive, welcoming & just wanting to have fun & the sweet sounds of music pumping.
i have gone away, honoured that i was able to witness, such an amazing weekender, with fantastic people, djs, music & most important of all, wonderfull vibes! With no doubt will be there for VBW 12! Yezurrrrrrr

So many highlights to mention but Matt Jam and Wookie rocked my world for sure. The poolside sessions I loved and the fun and jokes just made me feel all warm inside. Massive respect due to you and everyone involved and so looking forward to next year. See ya at the reunion bro. Much Love. xx

a bit of tweakin’ and it just got better!! I am truly thankful to be involved in such an event, and i’m full of admiration for Andy Ward & Co who make the event what it is;a warm, soulful, friendly, funny,Family atmosphere with not bad vibe smelt the whole time.I look forward to it for months and think about it for months after. The intimate vibe will not be lost because thats just how it is,and it makes it all the better.I am so looking forward to next year, and so looking forward to making more Family friends, there are so many to get round!! With the videos and pictures rolling in on the webpage, its hard not to get a tinsy bit tearful, and i think Ricky Soul Renegade’s set summed up the whole weekender for me;soulful, deep, emotional and a wee bit drunk. To see that man ‘lost in music’ like he was,was priceless.I salute you….
I have to mention Fidias Abellan, local guy who is one of the most lovely fellas i’ve met in recent times. And can that fella DJ?He surpassed himself this year, playing a closing set poolside on saturday night.
If this event was a 10,000 people festival it wouldn’t mean as much to everyone attending,it’s the intimacy, the sense of belonging to something special that makes Vocal Booth so so special, the little personal touches that Andy et al make. And he always has a little surprise for people…something so simple like having your name in print makes people feel they belong, and lets face it,it’s the simple things in life we love and enjoy, day in,day out…
I could go on,and on,but i’ll stop now and say something cheesy-VB 2012 BE THERE,OR BE SQUARE!!
P.S the only thing i would add to this event would be some type of counselling service so you are emotionally ready for when it ends. Peace and Love To The Family x

Im glad and honoured to have been a part of something so special from the very start. Meeting new, exciting, beautiful people is one of the most important things in life and the Vocal Booth supplies this in abundance, every year keeps getting better and better. The VB is one of my few sanctuary’s.

It is truly an honour to be a part of this very special party. I have attended all 3 and its fantastic to see the event grow.
I haven’t felt this way about a party since the early days of the weekender’s, that feeling you get of coming home and never wanting to miss one EVER. It becomes part of your life and not just a night or two out. This feeling is only created by hard work and the amazing DJ’s, dancers and friends that attend. It really does feel like being part of a family. Its all a bit humbling really.
Big props too each and everyone that attended for keeping the vibe warm friendly and exciting, an all too rare thing in allot of today’s club environments. Roll on next year.

Wow, what a fantastic musical journey we all experienced last weekend! VB2010 was already up there in terms of my favourite clubbing experiences, but VB2011 took things to a whole new level! So many old & new faces alike, but all moving to the same beat & good time vibes…amazing stuff! The poolside sessions were the highlight for me, so many awesome live PAs inc slick Tim & Ladybird, and as for the clash of the titans event…let’s just say that headliner djs better be on their toes for VB2012!
much respect to Matt for allowing me to hog the pioneer demo gear for so long! And to all the top djs doing their thing right! And of course to Lordy Wardy for making all of this possible! C u all @ VB2012…

VBW 2011 Review – DeanJay
My VBW experience started way back in Spring when Myself and Dave Law got the nod, from Andy, to play a set. From that moment we knew the whole thing would be an unforgettable few days in the sun. We had watched with jealousy all the images, comments, videos and reviews from the 2010 event so knew what a incredible trip it would be.
As the date got closer and the steady stream of posts became a freanzy on the VB Family FB page I own excitement grew, we knew we’d be talking about this for years to come. What we didn’t count on was how completly perfect the event was. I actually remember daydreaming a few months before about how I would love to be sitting in perfect weather around the pool surrounded by friends old and new listening to exceptional music with a massive crew of soul-loving, house-adoring, like minded people thouroughly enjoying the vibe and the experience of being part of something very special. That dream come true every single afternoon that we were at the Montepiedra. It was idillic.
We arrived nice and early on the Wednesday afternoon, checked into our wonderful Villa and promptly left it to get to the Hotel asap to begin our week long party. I don’t remember much from that night but do remember that even if I go back to the hotel in the morning on my own I’d feel completely at home. I did go back as soon as my head cleared and settled back with my new and old family and got that daydream feeling again. As the eveing wore on and more people arrived the buzz just kept on rising culminating in a full on party session with singing, screaming, dancing, hugging, clapping, kissing to a brilliant set from Gavin Peters – this was just the thursday night subduded welcome evening! My expectations of the weekender just went up about 10 levels.
I’ll not give you a blow by blow of the rest of my time at VBW but will say this: It was THE best week of my 40 years on this planet, i’ve been around a while and I always have my greatest experiences because of the music i choose to listen to and I feel i have choosen the music that attracts some of the nicest, friendliest people on the planet – House Music is my life and you lot are my musical family and for you all to gather for a week in September in perfect surroundings under the leadership of Mr Ward makes my life a very special thing.
Everything was perfect and I can’t wait to do it again next year. I’m hooked so get used to me being around for as long as this family is together. The individual parts make the whole so remember everyone of you is responsible for something this special.
Things I loved about the event apart from the wonderful people:
1. The closeness of the Hotel, poolside, club, mini club. If we built it ourselves it propbably wouldn’t have been as perfect.
2. The Staff at the Montepiedra
3. The Pioneer collab – what a brilliant idea, such a superb experience playing on that equipment and being show a few things by the demo guy (that helped a lot before our set on monday night)
4. Snoops set ups, uttmost respect for some incredible sound
5. The free gifts and brochure – I instantly felt part of a family just by having my name in print.
6. The Baseball tops with names on back, I met alot of my fellow DJs that afternoon simply by reading their backs.
7. The way the DJs were fully part of the family – I think this wouldn’t happen at any other party on the planet. I had to pinch myself when sitting amoungst so many of my heros and chatting like old mates – Damn i love our scene!
8. Clash of the titans – genius! and another measure of the lack of pretentiousness of the family.
9. Club Sono – Love that little place (for a very personal reason as well as the intimacy and vibe in there) and the bar upstairs what a great place to wind down before the flight home.
10. ALL THE MUSIC
11. Andy Ward (I know I said “apart form the people” but come on – What a top fella for turning his dream into a reality for all of us to share in)
I could go on and on but i won’t
BIG LOVE TO THE WHOLE FAMILY – SEE YOU NEXT YEAR IF NOT BEFORE.

I don’t think I can say anything that no-one else has said, thought, written down, expressed…VBW2011 completely suprassed any great expectations I had had before arriving. The people, the locations, the music, the atmosphere, the events. If I wanted to be a grouchy git and complain about something it would be that it had to end. Big up to Andy Ward, the VB crew, staff, family and ALL involved to make this event the magnificent pleasure that it was (and still is in my memory) – An absolute pleasure to be a part of it – Something I can boast about …FOREVER!

The Vocalbooth metronome is in my mind forever. Bring on next year, when I won’t do anything daft like stay up the road, though the walk back by the beach had its own thrills!
A million thanks to you all for having the vision and passion to create this.
I haven’t stopped dancing yet.

After last year’s shenanigans I didn’t no what to expect this year. Then after an hour of arriving at the Montepiedra and going next door to Xairo Wardy’s gone “Come here Mick I need to show you something” we’ve then walked in and he’s showed me this huge banner hanging from the wall with my catchphrase from last year “Best Holiday Ever” that made me feel proper nice, VBW Family for real!! That was where the holiday started for me. And then that was it I was off Friday Night I have to say was just amazing, seeing all those people I hadn’t seen since last year all the new people that came out, all my friends from London that rolled out this year. Then when it came to Monday Night and I got to Bang Out the sound system at Club Sono and give them a bit of Mick Naughty’s Vibe well that was truly the icing on the cake for me loved every minute of it….And i can well and truly say Best Holiday Ever Part 2.
Wardy your a top bloke mate, Snoopy, Michelle, Tico and all the Staff at the Monty all the Birmingham crew Michael, Jonathon, Comarsh, Rob(The Robot), Simon, Lost, Jonny, Lil Rasta, Ribena, Rachel, Steven Adams, Chris Andes and everyone i aint mentioned all the crew you lot definently made this holiday unforgettable!!!! Oh yeah and Big UP Eric!!!! Original Raver!!!

Firstly let me apologise for having taken so long to write this. Had I tried the day I got home it would have been filled with over emotional ‘Ohhh did you hear that and what about when so and so dropped that’. Had I tried last week it would have been drug induced (prescribed) nonsense that I would have found funny reading but no one would have understood a word.
My experience of VBW was slightly different than it has been before. Firstly I travelled alone & two days later than planned with my crazy bunch. Up until the last minute didn’t know if I was going to get there, but get there I did. Arriving at the hotel at 10ish on the Saturday morning was quite bizarre. Total silence. All the family partied out and sleeping soundly in their beds. Well, I like to think of them that way. I stood for a while watching Snoopz working his magic on the sound system with that worried face he pulls when no ones watching. Like the concerned father arranging the Christmas presents while the children sleep. Heart warming to see the care he puts in.
I’m not sure if it’s a VB thing or just me. I feel the same when I arrive at Southport. ‘AND THEIR OFF’……No ease your way in. No lets take it slowly as we have a long weekend ahead. Full on, in ya face. ‘Lets have it madness takes over any normally level headed individual at that stage I find’.
The build up and excitement for this years event put a smile on my face through a few sticky moments let me tell ya. All the banter, the jokes, the anticipation.
Getting on that flight was, (and I make no exaggeration here). One of the best feelings I’ve experienced in a long time. You may be thinking, what in Gods good name is this woman ranting on about but take my word for it. It was. Maybe I shouldn’t mention having got to the airport 7hours early for a flight. ‘Well, I couldn’t miss it could I’…..
The music this year was second to none this year as expected. John Spoors set poolside, Ricky Read, your good self Andy. Oh and Housebox. Disc, disco, disco. Loved it. In fact I think I was probably in full on ‘dance like a moron’ mode by then. Mikey’s poolside set. Michelle, Andy….What can I say….Beautiful.
One memory that springs to mind is chatting with Andy as he tells me that Grant can’t be with us this year. Have you ever seen a grown man so disappointed, so upset and so concerned that his words are saying one thing but the fact that his eyes are filling with tears tell you a whole different story. ‘How do I tell everyone’? ‘Will everyone be disappointed’? He repeated whilst doing his head shaking thing.
Well Andy, you got your answer. Of course Grant was sorely missed. ‘We love him’ but I didn’t see anyone leaving. I didn’t see the whole weekend fall apart. The thing that got me was Andy’s heartfelt concern for one and all. A true pro in the department of entertainment.
2010/11 has been a difficult year for a lot of people, ill health, finances, redundancies’ etc etc. For me personally the main thing I love about VBW is being with the people I love, Seeing those same people forget the world & it’s troubles for just a few short days and simply love music…..

A truly amazing event. I never thought it was possible to recreate the love and togetherness in music that existed when the Acid House scene first hit the UK in the late 80s, but VB has eclipsed even that. Andy, Michelle and the crew have really created something special. I cant wait for next year, and will be doing the full week this time. I loved the 3 days we were there, but I wont miss the other 4 for anything… the holiday is already booked!! I met some truly lovely people, who have become friends for life.

What can I say!? After attending 2009 & 2010′s Weekender’s I never though it could be possible for the event to get even better. 2011 was outstanding, musically spot on, DJ selection truly perfect, weather even better than 2010. Even though the event was bigger numbers wise I didn’t meet anyone that spoilt the vibe.
Andy has worked very hard on something to be truly proud of for life.
My final words >>> Until you’ve attended, you cannot comment! See you in 2012… Richie x

Well – what can I say. Actually not that much as it’s all above me through these reviews. The love for this event is that evident. Andy I can only say thank you so much for putting this together – I can only imagine all of the work put in to make sure everyone felt at home – and everyone did that’s for sure. I have read through many comments from the VB Fam talking about events in the UK simply not having a vibe anywhere near what this one did. It is true – nothing compares. Andy also asked me if it met expectations….met? It exceeded on so many levels. Thanks to everyone there who collectively made it such a friendly event. I look forward to next year – more fun, more sun, more jokes, more friends and of course – more quality music.
For the Family.. With the Family.. Of the Family.

Its so hard to put into words how Vocalbooth makes you feel,so I have made a little list of what to expect if you are lucky enough to make it to a Vocalbooth event in the future.
1 You will be very happy.
2 You will make life long friends.
3 You will drink too much.
4 You will hear the very best House DJs.
5 You will hear the best House music ever written being played for days.
6 You will have your picture taken by me!
7 You wont be having your normal 7 hours sleep a night.
8 You will be dancing in the beautiful Spanish sun shine.(This year 30 degrees every day)
9 The only attitudes are good attitudes.
10 You will be sad to leave (You may even shed a tear)
11 Andy will at some point cry!
12 You will lose your voice.
13 You will laugh alot.
14 You will wish you hadnt worn sexy 5″ high shoes but nice comfy dancing shoes instead (That ones mainly for the ladies!)
15 You will be booking up for the next Vocalbooth weekender!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Mr & Mrs Ward and everyone that makes Vocalbooth what it is xxxx

I was a first timer to the event this year. The vibe was second to none & something I have not experienced since the early 90′s. I’ve never done a Southport weekender or been to SunceBeat so I couldnt compare but I did hear people that have attended both say it was the best event they’d attended. Even on facebook, you meet someone new & you are immediately embraced. The term “family” is so appropriate. Attending the VBW was one of the highlights of my clubbing life & the only downside for me is that I was not there from the beginning.

My first time in Spain & just the most absolutely amazing experience, couldn’t imagine a better way to spend my first time in Spain other than at Vocal Booth Weekender! I just love everything about VBW, becoming part of the family & what an amazing family you all are! I met so many new & beautiful members of the family, the DJ’s & live Artists make this event the best I have been to! Which is why you just can’t keep me away, I have worked in this industry for many years now & VBW is what it is all about!
Andy Ward thank you & all the family involved in creating such an amazing experience & all the hard work to bring us all together under the sun, so much love & respect out to each & everyone of you! Looking forward to spending time with my VB family again, see you all soon! xxxxxx
